Its most recognizable feature is a pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside. Scientific Name is Panthera tigris , it is  90 – 110 cm in height. Its weight is 221.2 kg on average, length is 270 – 310 cm Male, 240 – 265 cm, Female).
Cold northern areas tigers are usually bigger and heavier than the tropical. 

 Tiger Facts - Types:

There are six subspecies of tigers, bengal tiger, siberian tiger, sumatran tiger, malayan tiger, indochinese tiger, south china tiger. Bengal tiger is found in India as well as Bangladesh. siberian tiger is the largest of all tigers. it inhabits the region of siberia in Russia. Sumatran Tiger found in the island of Sumatra. Malayan Tiger is only found around the Malayan Pennisula. Indochinese Tiger is found in areas of Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Cambodia.

Tiger Facts - Food Habit:
The tiger is a carnivore which means that they are meat eaters. They tend to find both small and large prey to feed on in the wild. Tigers hunt primarily between dusk and dawn. They stalk, chase, and attack, bringing down and killing the prey with usually a bite to the nape of the neck or the throat. Tigers have been known to eat up to 27 kilograms of meat in one night, but more often they consume about 5 kilograms during a meal. It may take days for a tiger to finish eating its kill.
